Since the beginning of time man has relied on one thing above all else. This 'THING' is the driving factor behind him reaching the top of the food chain and progressing to the technological age. This 'THING' is his mind, his intellect. Man's capacity to dream and invent is only dwarfed only by the stars in the sky. From Einstein to the Wright brothers he has demonstrated this capacity, this ability to give life to ideas and thoughts. It is this very ability, the ability to dream and create that is portrayed in DAKSH, the technical fest of SASTRA University. Everyone fears, it is a natural human response. And so there are those who seek to capitalize on this fear, the terrorists. In todays world it is just as important or even more so, not to just stop them but to prevent them from gaining a foothold of any kind. It is with the understanding of this importance, that this year's DAKSH is themed on counter-terrorrism. With various events ranging from coding to designing a town DAKSH Octa offers something for all.
